Out of Hours
LAGANDOC, the local out of hours provider, looks after the urgent needs of patients from 6.00 pm to 8.30 am weekdays, and 24 hours at weekends and bank holidays.

Appointments
Appointments can be made through reception. Telephone 028 9260 3111.  Normal appointments are for 10 minutes only and cannot accommodate two people unless agreed by the doctor.

Test Results
If you are requesting results please telephone 028 9260 3111 between 9.30 am and 5.30 pm. Please advise the receptionist which test you are enquiring about.

Vaccination Schedule

The clinic is run by a doctor and health visitor and is held at 11.30 am each Tuesday. Most appointments will be scheduled automatically and sent by post. Enquiries should be directed to reception.

Travel Vaccination
A private Travel Clinic is now in operation in the Health Centre. Please ring 028 9250 1281 for an appointment.

Influenza Vaccination
Influenza vaccinations are usually available from October for the over 65-age group and those patients with heart, kidney, chest problems or diabetes. It is also available to Carers registered with the Practice. Ask at reception for details from 1 September.

Well Woman Clinic / Well Man Clinic
Prevention is better than cure. For women the importance of having a cervical smear every three to five years and knowing how to carry out breast self-examination cannot be over-emphasised. It is recommended that women between the ages of 25 and 50 have a smear test every 3 years and thereafter 5 yearly until the age of 65. Other health checks such as blood pressure and cholesterol will also be carried out. Please contact reception for an appointment.

Results from your smear will be posted out to the address we hold for you, unless you advise otherwise. Results should be received within approximately 4 weeks, if you have not received a letter after 6 weeks please advise us accordingly.

antenatalAntenatal Care
Community midwives run an antenatal clinic at the health centre every week. Appointments for this are made through reception or the doctor.

Postnatal Care
After your return home one of the doctors will normally contact you and you will receive an appointment for a six-week check-up with your doctor.

Family Planning
Please make a surgery appointment to see any of the doctors. Please telephone for advice regarding emergency contraception.

Minor Surgery
The Practice has facilities to carry out minor surgery. Usually you will need to see a doctor before an appointment for this can be made. Please make a routine appointment in the first instance.

Warfarin Monitoring
We currently provide this service to our patients on short term and long-term treatment with warfarin. Patients wishing to avail of this should speak to one of the doctors for details.
